Follow these following steps carefully
Keep in mind that all versions of the Ubuntu will follow the same following process for installation.
Step-1
Download the ISO file of Ubuntu
First of all you need to Download the ISO file from Ubuntu official website https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop here.Ubuntu Official Site |
Step-2
Create Bootable Disk Disk
To create bootable disk from ISO file, you need Rufus software that can be downloaded from here https://rufus.ie/, You can download it under the "Download" green highlighted area.

- Plugin the USB into Laptop
- Open the Rufus software
- select opens as red highlighted in above image
- Then click on "START"
After couple of minutes your Ubuntu bootable will be ready.
Step-3
Ubuntu Installation Process
Now insert Bootable USB into Computer or Laptop port and restart your system, When system is starting you have to press the specific key of the system to open the Boot Menu, every system have different keys.
After that you will have the window like the following

Now you can click on Install Ubuntu option. After that you can select Language Like the following

Updates and Other Software |
Step-4
Select the Installation According to Your Previous Data Need
There are mainly Two options available for installation
- Erase disk and install Ubuntu
- Encrypt the new Ubuntu installation for security
- Use LVM with the new Ubuntu installation
- Something else
You have to select "Something else", click on continue.
At this point you can Erase C drive data where you have windows installed
After that one pop up will appear, you have to select Continue and click on primary option.
Then options like the following
After that click "OK"
Now select the root directory to begin the installation
Click on "Install Now"
and press "Continue" to begin the installation.
After that select Time Zone, and provide Credentials such Username, Computer Name, and password.
After couple of minutes You are ready to use Ubuntu.

You have to open the Wifi setting and select eduroam. Check out the following Pictures to get clear understanding
You have to select "Authentication" type as "Protected EAP(PEAP)" and Check "No CA certificate is required"
